Thermoplastics that are suitable for recycling
Our machines are versatile and enable the recycling of numerous thermoplastics. The following materials in particular can be processed efficiently and reliably to produce high-quality recycled pellets:
PE (polyethylene)
Polyethylene (PE) is one of the most commonly used plastics. It is known for its versatility and wide range of applications in numerous industries. There are different types of polyethylene. They vary based on their properties and intended uses:
- Low density polyethylene (LDPE): This soft, flexible material is used to make packaging films, plastic bags, pouches, tubes, and containers.
- High density polyethylene (HDPE): Stronger and stiffer than LDPE, HDPE is often used for bottles, pipes, toys, containers and plastic closures.
- Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE): As a further development of LDPE, LLDPE is ideal for packaging films, stretch films and coatings.
During the recycling process, PE waste is shredded, cleaned and then processed to make high-quality pellets. This can be used to make new products.
PP (polypropylene)
Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer that is both versatile and durable. It is used in a wide range of products, including packaging, textiles, automotive parts and numerous other components.

PET (polyethylene terephthalate)
PET is a widely used thermoplastic that is primarily used in the packaging industry. It is characterized by high transparency, strength and lightness. PET is often used to produce beverage bottles, food packaging, film and fibers.
One major advantage of PET is its excellent recyclability. When recycling these thermoplastics, PET is sorted, cleaned and then shredded. Recycled pellets made from this material can be used to produce new bottles, textile fibers, and other plastic products.
