Polyethylene (PE) is a widely available plastic that is used for a wide range of applications due to its versatile properties. There are different types of polyethylene, including

Low density polyethylene (LDPE): LDPE is soft and flexible. It is widely used for packaging film, bags, hoses and some types of containers.
High density polyethylene (HDPE): HDPE is stiffer and more robust than LDPE. It is often used to make bottles, containers, pipes, toys and closures.
Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE): LLDPE is a further development of LDPE. This material is often used for packaging film, stretch film and as a coating.

Polyethylene is highly recyclable. During the recycling process, PE waste is shredded, cleaned and then processed to make pellets. At UMAC, we offer two options for PE recycling:

READYMAC 1109 TVE: This is our material all-rounder in a standardized design that is available immediately.
Used plastic recycling machines: Depending on availability and design, reconditioned machines can recycle PE.
